How do I switch from self-managed to plan-managed NDIS funding?
Simply contact the NDIS and let them know you want to change your plan management type from self-managed to plan-managed. You will need to complete a ‘Change of Plan Request’ and nominate a plan manager, such as Plan Hero plan managers. Once you have received your updated or reassessed plan you can reach out to your preferred plan manager to get started.

Can I change plan managers?
Absolutely. You can switch plan manager at anytime during your plan. Just let your current plan manager know, and contact the NDIS to let them know who your new plan manager is. See our resource on How to Change Plan Managers.

How do I get plan management added to my NDIS plan?
During your access or planing meeting you can discuss with your LAC or NDIA planner that you would like your NDIS plan to be PLAN-MANAGED.
You must give them these details if you would like to use Plan Hero as your plan manager:

Is NDIS plan management free?
Yep! If plan management is in your plan, it doesn’t cost you anything. It won’t take money from your other supports. It’s a separate budget item in your plan called Choice & Control and you cannot use this funding for anything else.
